We can all agree that Ice-cream is the perfect treat to beat the heat! Our Matcha Chia Popsicles will bring an authentic Asian flavour to your palate!
Chia seeds are super rich in fibre and keep you feeling full for a long time! They also act as a thickening agent in this recipe, so you can keep the heavy cream back in the fridge!
Matcha is a great substitute for coffee, and we all know how that shit goes down!
The highlight of this recipe is that it’s super healthy! It can be made vegan and gluten free!
Let’s get to it!
~You will need~
~ Matcha (green tea) powder – 2 tsp
~ Chia seeds – 2 tsp
~ Milk (your choice of vegan milk!) – 400 ml
~ powdered sugar/ dates/ honey for sweetening
~ Mix matcha powder, chia seeds, and your choice of sweetener into the milk, and blend them till the chia seeds are pulverised.
~ Pour your mixture into a cheese-cloth, and strain the liquid into a bowl!
~ Once your liquid is free from chia seed remnants, pour it into a popsicle mould. ^_^
*For added aesthetic appeal, drop some colourful sprinkles, fruit bits, etc. into the bottom of your mould, before you pour the liquid in*
~ Chill these in the freezer overnight, and prepare to be dazzled by their beauty! ❤ ❤
